Benchmarks and Best Practices in DE

Today, Fazu and Mosayeb presented the Benchmarks and Best Practices in DE. Both Fazu and Mosayeb did a good explaination.
After the discussion and did some activities during the presentation, I made my own conclusion that benchmark is the target or goals that we want to achieve, while Best Practices is how we want to achieve the goals. What I mean with Best Practices is, what are we going to do to achieve the goals.
According to wiktionary, benchmark means a standard by which something is evaluated or measured and a surveyor's mark made on some stationary object and shown on a map; used as a reference point.
